Nat Sulph, of course!

Vinton McCabe, author of The Healing Echo, writes that Nat Sulph (Natrum Sulphuricum) is “one of our oldest homeopathic remedies, perhaps one of the oldest medicines on earth.”

Nat Sulph is considered the regulatory cell salt. It helps to adjust the water in the system and aids the liver and kidneys in pushing out toxins. It is essential to aid in the disintegration and elimination of old, dead cells.

Does damp or humid weather often make you sick? It’s considered the perfect remedy for those whose illnesses come on by dampness, living in damp or high humidity places, made worse by damp or wet conditions or in damp wet environments, such as basements.

If you can feel the change in weather coming on, especially when that change is from dry to damp, humid or wet of any kind, think Nat sulph.

There is discomfort with this remedy: discomfort in the emotional, physical, and mental.  You may have trouble falling asleep, wake throughout the night and feel unrefreshed in the morning.

The Nat sulph person feels a general discomfort in their bodies. Lax muscle fibers and being overweight are often associated with this remedy. As well as cold hands and feet that give way to discomfort.

It can be supportive during the menopause transition where hot flashes are present and when a general feeling of discomfort in the body has set in. Additionally, the discomfort of sciatica, especially if worse from dampness, is a key indication for the use of Nat Sulph.

Nat sulph is an important remedy in cases of concussion or head injury where there are changes in personality, vertigo or memory loss.  For these symptoms, please consult with a qualified practitioner.
